Alice in Wonderland theme marks the opening of new cafe
Rural Arts are delighted to announce they have opened a café at The Old Courthouse, Thirsk, and to mark the occasion they are hosting an Alice in Wonderland theme over the summer.The main attraction of the Alice in Wonderland theme is an exhibition of Sir John Tenniel’s illustrations for Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland which are considered to be his finest and most enduring achievement, they must also rank among the world’s best-known children’s images.Along side the exhibition which runs until the end of August are children’s activities (word searches, craft tables and a drawing competition), refreshments (homemade treats and drinks), and unique gifts for sale (hand crafted cards, pottery and much more!).If you are looking for something to do with your children, want to view a beautiful exhibition or just want a tasty treat then The Old Courthouse is the place to go!
