British Champion for 4th Time

Slingsby Sidecar grasstrack racer, Rob Bradley, passengered by Lincolnshire’s Shaun Simpson, became British 1000cc right hand sidecar champion for the 4th time on Sunday’s British Masters finals at Rhodes Minnis, Dover, Kent. Bradley is now recognised as one of the greatest sidecar racers in history, as well as a great all round motorcyclist with many other titles in other motorcycle disciplines. Rob and Shaun raced through 4 heats, winning 3 and a 2nd place, before charging to a win in their semi final and completely storming the final, taking the victory overall by 4 points from Nottingham racer Paul Whitelam and Kent driver Rob Wilson. The outfit used is a Measer frame with a methanol highly tuned Yamaha 1000cc engine. Rob Bradley would like to dedicate this win to his long time best friend Mathew Windross, sadly no longer with us, and give very special appreciation to Nev and James Armstrong, who were the pit crew, and to wife Ellen and children Natalie and Josh for showing great support in his quest to win again.
