Hambleton’s four leisure centres are throwing their doors open for free next month.For one weekend only there will be free sessions at the Northallerton, Thirsk, Bedale and Stokesley centres as part of an initiative to increase the number of people taking regular exercise.The ‘access all areas’ open weekend in mid-October will see free swimming and sauna sessions, free fitness classes and free health checks on offer.   And there will be guided tours of the facilities, free gym trials, discounts on gym memberships and competitions to enter.“We are working hard to encourage people of all ages to start taking exercise and improve their health as a result,” said Facilities Manager, Steve Lister.“We will be showcasing our centres – the wide range of facilities we can offer people whether they are keen to get fitter, take up a sport or just curious as to what’s behind our doors.”Each centre will offer free swimming sessions and gym trials on both days.  Northallerton will also have cyber coach, fitkidz classes, vew-do tasters, boxercise, 60+ aerobics, and dance mat sessions.   Stokesley will have ju jitsu, 60+ popmobility and fitkidz sessions; Bedale fitkidz, badminton and aerobics; and Thirsk junior circuits, aqua fit and 60+ circuits classes.
