Motorbikes and Markets

Instead of our planned afternoon, a change of plan. A walk down to town and lo and behold in Long Street, a gathering of motorbikes. Who wants to attend the TT racing in the Isle of Man when we have it all on our doorstep? Such a jolly crowd of people, all enjoying the sunshine and tucking into refreshments.A bit further down, and after watching some baby ducks, also taking refreshment in Cod Beck, they had had enough and stumbled on to the bank and started preening prior to a gentle sleep until time for the next feed. How calming to watch them.Into town where the stallholders were busy packing up, all looking very happy, perhaps because they had had a good day – I hope so.It was nice to meet up with various acquaintances on our way round and also on the way back home.Much nicer than burning rubber and fuel in a bid to find something different but will it be the same if parking charges are imposed I wonder?
