Pilot Makes Heroic Landing

Last Saturday, at about 7pm, a light aircraft travelling from Hertfordshire to Bagby was forced to make an emergency landing just outside Easingwold. The aircraft, which clipped a hedge during the procedure, came down in a field behind Spinks Farm (now Prospect Farm Persimmon housing development) on Thirsk Road, which runs parallel to Raskelf Road. There were four passengers aboard the aircraft, none of whom were injured.
