Successful BBQ for Thirsk Clock
There was a fantastic turn out on Sunday at a BBQ held by Peter Gibson and Gareth Dadd at their home in Thormanby, in aid of Thirsk Clock.Many people pre-bought tickets to raise money for the charity that was formed 10 years ago to support young people in the area. Over 1000 young people have benefited from the charity over the years and its good work continues.The hosts, Peter and Gareth, had erected the scout tent in their garden and welcomed people into their home. They were very hands on, organising the cooking whilst some helpers served drinks.It was a very successful event and luckily the weather stayed fine, let’s hope they raised plenty of money.Peter and Gareth will be doing it all again this Sunday, hosting a BBQ to raise money for Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
