The Express to Celebrity in Bagby

Eric Marshall has had a busy past couple of weeks. Since being featured on ITV there has been a media blitz on the Marshall household. Eric has been on all four local TV channels and featured in several newspapers including the Mail, Telegraph and Sun.It all concerns his front garden, or what once was his front garden, because for three years Eric has been painstakingly transforming it into a working miniature railway replete with signals, four separate tracks, water features and bridges, a windmill, a cable car and myriad buildings and details. All the features were hand built by Mr Marshall himself. And he’s not finished yet! He’s now planning a replica of ‘The Flying Scotsman’!The work has been drawing a growing stream of visitors – train enthusiasts and tourists alike, including a weekly coach trip from Whitby. Mr Marshall accepts donations and has raised over £500 for The Macmillan Nurses so far this year.
