Thirsk & Easingwold Brownies & Guides news
Brownies and Guides from Thirsk and Easingwold have enjoyed an action packed activity day at Carlton Lodge Outdoor Centre, near Thirsk. Forty-eight girls took part in a variety of outdoor activities instructed by staff from the centre. The girls went kayaking on the lake, playing a variety of games whilst in their kayaks. They then worked as a team to build a raft and then tested it out on the water. The ‘Leap of Faith’ and ‘Jacob’s Ladder’ tested the girl’s head for heights as they tried out the high ropes adventure course. The day ended with those brave enough trying to get across the rope bridge! The day was organised to give the girls an opportunity to try new outdoor activities and meet other Brownies and Guides from the district. Full Article Archived News View All...
