Thirsk Community Care Association appoints Ellen Cross as the new Chief Officer.

The Association is pleased to announce that Ellen Cross has joined the CCA as Chief Officer where she will have responsibility for leading the charity’s strategic plans. Her immediate focus will be to develop partnerships with private and public sector organisations and secure future funding for the association’s new and existing services. Ellen is a former project manager for North Yorkshire and York Forum, a sub regional development and support organisation for the voluntary and community sector, and has a wealth of experience in funding and development support for local organisations. She is very passionate about the work of the voluntary and community sector and is involved in supporting many community groups in her home village of Osmotherley. Ellen Cross said ‘I am delighted to be joining the Community Care Association. The work they undertake for elderly, vulnerable and disabled people in Thirsk and surrounding area is invaluable and vital to the community so I am looking forward to being a key part in its continued growth ahead’.Councillor Cynthia Hesmondhalgh, Chair of Trustees, said “I am very happy to welcome Ellen Cross to the Thirsk Community Care Association and feel sure her wide experience in fundraising and the voluntary sector will be a big help to us.
