Thirsk Young Farmers

Members of Thirsk Young Farmers enjoyed success at the Northern Area round of competitions in Carlisle this weekend.Although the Public Speaking teams missed out on the top three places on the Saturday, they moved onto a resounding win in the Hockey Competition on Sunday. After winning all of their games in the preliminary rounds they finally defeated the Cumbria A team in the finals with a fantastic reputation of only conceding one goal throughout the days six games. Playing this week were: Emily Mc Hugh, Hannah Fletcher, Mark Cartner, Julie Stonehouse, Richard Craggs, Laura Musgrove, Kit Alderson, Andy Stonehouse. Dave Stead, Pete Sanderson, other team members Tom Stead and Rachel Turner.The club will now represent the Northern Area at the National Finals later this year.
