An Awful Lot Of Yellow Lorries

If you happen to notice a yellow gritting lorry out on the streets of Thirsk or Sowerby, even though it's summertime, rather hot and not the slightest chance of snow or ice, look carefully and you may spot that it bears the name and logo of a far distant local authority.

What you will be seeing is one of the hundreds of these lorries built in Ripon and maintained at the giant operation centre of Econ in Sowerby.
