Award For Thirsk Adventurer – And Her Mum

The bank holiday weekend brought interesting people to Thirsk.

In the market place, Kevin Hollinrake MP, as seen on tv when he was a junior minister and now as chairman of the Conservative Party, was there to meet with constituents, shake hands and hear what was on their minds. With him were two of his staff, Ben and Hattie, normally based in London or at the Malton constituency office.

They field the daily flow of emails from people with problems they hope Kevin can help with, whether it’s Council tax, bus routes, potholes, pensions – you name it.
