All lit up
Once again the centre of Thirsk is ablaze with Christmas lights. Last Friday evening’s event attracted many families to see and hear the entertainers on stage with hosts Dougie and Chris, before Santa turned up and switched on the lights. And let’s hear it for the man who in the preceding weeks put up over 2,000 light bulbs, perched on a scissor lift: Ross Hagen from Dressers, whose job was made even trickier by the damp weather.
The kids always enjoy the fantasy and novelty of the pop-up stage, the music and dancing and Santa, and this year although it was quite cold….
